You will even train at the American Airlines Flight Training Center in Charlotte, North Carolina when you start ground school! You may start as a first officer, but that doesn’t mean you’ll stay in the right seat longer than you need to. Before your guaranteed job at American Airlines, pilots have the opportunity to become Captains in 12-15 months, which further increases your pay! It’s even faster for pilots with FAA Part 121 experience. With Piedmont, you will earn your stripes faster than any other airline!
BRING YOUR LONGEVITY
Pilots flying Part 121 bring their longevity with respect to pay and vacation days (excluding 401-K). For example, if you are a 2nd year pilot with your current airline, you will start at 3rd year pay at Piedmont and get vacation benefits as if you were a 3rd year pilot!

First year Captains start with earning close to $11,000/month, but with Piedmont’s 1:1 longevity match for Part 121 pilots, you can earn up to $16,031/month!
