SCREENING DATES
Assessments are ongoing with Turkish Airlines and are held in Istanbul, Turkey (IST)
We are scheduling screenings every week. You will need to arrive on a Sunday and will need a full five days for assessments (Monday thru Friday). Turkish Airlines will provide travel on their network along with hotel accommodations.
To get scheduled, we just need your completed Application Form, the week you would like to attend assessments, and your preferred THY departing airport.

The Republic of Turkey is home to 13 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and is consistently named one of the world’s must-see destinations. From the capital of Ankara, to the beautiful coastal cities of _ and _, to the cosmopolitan city of Istanbul, Turkey has no shortage of sightseeing and travel opportunities.
According to the US Department of State, “Istanbul is Europe’s second and the world’s eighth biggest city… Despite its population of more than 13.5 million people and the mass of visitors, the city is listed as one of the safest in the world.”
Istanbul is world-renowned for its unique mixture of contemporary and modern culture. In addition to the many festivals, exhibitions, and other large events the city hosts, small pazars occur weekly throughout the neighborhoods. Istanbul is home to over 50 museums covering a wide range of topics, from archaeology to fine arts, famous persons, industrial innovation, military history, and more. The city has more than 15 official parks and zoos, as well as two aquariums and a dolphinarium, and due to its location on the coast the city is an excellent place for watersports.

There is no shortage of expats living in Turkey. In 2011, 1.3% of the population was foreign-born, and 2.2% of all people living in Turkey had lived abroad. In Istanbul especially, there are many social and support organizations for foreigners living in Turkey. Some, like InterNations, are for everyone, while others are gender- or language-specific. With expat communities, as with most anything else, Istanbul truly has something for everyone!
ACCOMMODATIONS
Where do expats live in Istanbul? What’s the cost of living there? What are good areas for families and then separately good areas for bachelors?
The cost of living in Istanbul varies greatly by neighborhood but, on average, the cost of living in Istanbul is 45% less than Dubai and 56% less than Paris (numbeo.com).
Each of Istanbul’s thirty-plus neighborhoods, or districts, has a unique character. Bakirköy is a classic middle-class neighborhood known for its growing number of English-language schools and close proximity to Atatürk International Airport, and Üsküdar is a conservative, residential suburb on the Asian side of the city.
For those interested in more artistic and lively areas, Beyoglu-Taksim is the most touristic part of Istanbul and has the most cafes, bars, and nightclubs of any district. Mecidiyeköy is only five minutes from Beyoglu-Taksim by metro and is home to Istanbul’s business district, making it the perfect place to balance work and fun.
Additionally, Istanbul’s Cihangir neighborhood was named one of the five best places to live in the world by The Guardian in January 2012, alongside cities such as Maui (Hawaii, USA) and Hamburg (Germany).
